Students enrolled in a Young Rembrandts Cartoon Club will learn the essential skills they need to illustrate exciting cartoon imagery that is filled with dynamic characters and expressive personalities. Your student will create fully realized cartoon characters from fun subjects like robots, hilarious dogs, and funny insects. Drawings of comical cars will spark your student's imaginations. Chess (Grade K-8)After SchoolWant to amaze your friends and impress your opponents? Want to increase your IQ while having fun playing Chess and compete for various prizes? Learn from Twin Cities Chess Club instructors who have years of teaching experience. Competitive chess tournaments are scheduled once a year and students can play for real chess trophies! Hamilton Ridge Dance Team (Gr. 2-5)After SchoolCalling all dancers! Work on a routine, play games that enhance your dance skills, and fine-tune your dance technique. No previous dance experience is required. You’ll show off your routine the last 30 minutes of class on the final day (families welcome to attend!) and perform for your classmates at an all-school meeting. Wear comfortable clothing and tennis shoes or dance shoes to class, and bring a water bottle each day. Fee includes a t-shirt. Indicate T-shirt size at registration. Middle School Archery (Gr. 6-8)After SchoolStep up to the challenge and take your shot! Learn proper shooting techniques and range safety, and hang out with other youth interested in developing archery skills. This is designed for archers with beginner to intermediate skills. You will learn to shoot compound bows, work on accuracy, and learn techniques to shoot at different yardage points. Along with archery, you will have the opportunity to try out hunting techniques with atl-atls. All equipment is provided. Unless weather is severe, this is a rain or shine, outside program. Dress for the weather. Parents are responsible for pick up at 4 pm at the range at Cleary Lake Park. The address is 18106 Texas Avenue, Prior Lake.
