  • DIY - All Occasion Hand-Stamped Cards

    Never be without a card for that special occasion. Create 25 hand-stamped and embellished cards. (5 cards of 5 different designs). ALL NEW CARD DESIGNS! All materials are precut and ready to stamp and assemble. You will receive embellishments and envelopes for your cards. Please bring adhesive (i.e double stick tape or tombow). Class includes materials, envelopes and use of instructor’s stamps, inks and tools.
  • Glass Mosaic 3 Garden Stakes or a Sign - NEW!

    Create a beautiful garden stake for your garden or a sign. Using pre-cut glass, decorate a bird, butterfly or flower with colorful glass. For the sign, a variety of sizes and stencils (if needed) are available. The first night is dedicated to working on our project, having fun and discovering your creative side. The second night is messy using grout, so make sure you dress for a mess and bring some old towels and a jar with a lid for water sealer. After your project is finished, you will learn about glass cutting, mosaic resources and other types of mosaics. Material fee ($24) for sign and ($30) for 3 garden stakes included in tuition. 
  • Glass Mosaic Garden Stepping Stone - NEW!

    Using pre-cut glass, design and create a gorgeous stepping stone for your garden. Patterns will be available if desired or you can also bring and outline of child's hand to make a unique keepsake. Round and square molds are available, each are 8". Material fee ($15) included in tuition. There may be time for an additional stepping stone for an additional supply fee. 
  • Mystery Quilt

    If you like quilting but hate to drag your machine to class, this is the “class” for you! This will be a mystery quilt - so you won’t know what the final project will look like until the last stitch has been made. Clues will find their way to your email in box (please provide your email address) or your US mail box (please provide your mailing address). Your choice. Follow the weekly directions in the clues in the privacy of your own home and by the end of 9 weeks you will have a completed quilt or quilt top. I will give you both my e mail address and phone # so you can reach me with any questions. We will end this class with a dessert show and tell to be held in Montgomery. First Clue sent the week of Jan. 21Show & Tell date: April (TBD)

    Think you are not creative? Then this class is for you! Come loosen up and be spontaneous while learning simple ways of mastering the medium. This class is designed so beginners and experienced watercolor artists will enjoy success. Learn watercolor techniques that will take you to the next level. See exciting demonstrations including: creating a focal area, value systems and how to use line and color to create depth and impact in your paintings. Reference materials and brushes will be available for student use. Please bring watercolor supplies, paper towels, a notebook and 140# cold press watercolor paper.   • Now Trending: Gelli-Plate Printing (Ages 14+)

    Gelli printing the newest trend yet! The more you print, the more variety, depth, and interest you create with this process. You will be introduced to what type of paint and materials work best to create these unique prints! You will love the simple process of mono printing, using stamps, and stencils, and creating your own designs on the Gelli Print plates. The gratification is immediate and you will learn the many ways  your prints can be used. The class will include collaging on a 12x12 canvas. Dar's teaching style will inspire your creativity as she gives entertaining demos and individual attention. Let your creativity some out to play! No experience necessary. Please bring to class: an apron, scissors, a 12" ruler, paper towels, a purse size Purell hand cleaner, a soft rubber brayer if you have one, words or sayings you like, your lunch and beverage.
  • Paint Your Own Piece w/Chalk Paint

    Do you have an old or outdated piece of furniture that needs a face-loft? This hands-on-workshop will teach you how to transform it with Chalk Paint® by Annie Sloan. You will learn all about Chalk Paint®, 4 different types of wax, and how to choose the perfect brush for your application. A qualified instructor from Carver Junk Company will teach you the basics and give you the confidence to take on larger projects at home as well. Choose from the 15 most popular colors of Chalk Paint® by Annie Sloan. Please bring a small piece you’d like to paint - you must be able to carry it yourself. Examples that work well are: a small side table, a chair or step stool, mirror frame, lamp, etc. Any repairs and cleaning must be done prior to class. Supplies including 1 can included in fee ($40 value).
  • Palette Up! Acrylic Pouring - NEW!

    In this fun class, our instructor will introduce you to the magical world of fluid acrylics & pouring medium. Take advantage of the classroom experience and don't worry about the mess. No experience required to learn how to create the same beautiful abstract canvases you see on Pinterest. Instead of paint brushes we will use gravity to move the paint and try techniques such as "dirty pour", "flip cup" and "swipe". It's a lot of fun (and somewhat addicting) and a great way to spark your creative energy. You will create two 8 x 8 canvases and transport home in cardboard boxes. Your final piece will change during transportation and when completely dry.
  • Palette Up! Intro to Paper Marbling (Ages 16+) - NEW!

    Marbling is centuries old, yet incredibly simple to learn. You will learn some basic marbling techniques including the ancient Japanese art form of Suminagashi. Manipulate multicolored inks floating on water that will be transferred onto paper. Create unique marbleized designs on a blank sketch book as well as note cards and other forms of paper. 
  • Twined Rag Rug

    Re-use and re-purpose worn out clothing, worn out linens and/or left over fabrics into beautiful, creative rag rugs by learning the techniques of Twined Rag Rugs. At the completion of the two evening class, you will leave with a loom, completed rug and the knowledge to create more lasting pieces for your home. During the first session, learn how to warp your loom for weaving and learn the weaving techniques.
