Lakers Preschool Child Care and the Laker 3s Program are branches of Kids’ Company, offering care for our youngest learners.
Kids’ Company offers quality child care options before and after school, full-day programming on most non-school days, and extended care on early release afternoons. Kids’ Company is located in all elementary buildings, serving K-5 students.
Elementary Choir will be held before school on designated days at each Elementary School.
Prior Lake-Savage Area Schools Community Education Services offers year-round tutoring for students in grades K-8 who would like to reinforce and build upon their skills. Tutoring can help students build confidence, motivation, knowledge, achievement, and excellence. Our program strives to support students to increase their understanding of core subject areas, build social skills, improve student habits, and excel through innovative teaching and learning.
Our private tutoring will accommodate individual learning styles, create a supportive learning environment, and move at your child’s pace. The one-on-one attention will keep your child excited about learning. Tutors use a variety of learning strategies that boost each child’s potential to succeed. Tutoring is available both virtual and in person.
All tutors are licensed teachers through the state of Minnesota. Each tutor has a passion for learning and a deep understanding of how to build trust in a one-on-one relationship.
Tutoring is scheduled based on the needs of the child and the availability of the parent/child and tutor. All tutoring takes place within district school buildings or through Google Meets (your preference). Tutors do not tutor in private homes or community locations due to liability.
If a student is sick, on vacation, or is going to miss a tutoring session for any reason, the tutor must have prior notification. A 3-hour minimum notification is required in order to reschedule a missed session. No refunds will be given for missed sessions if cancellations are not received at least 3 hours prior to the scheduled session. In the case of inclement weather (school is closed or early release), tutoring sessions will be canceled and rescheduled. If a tutor has a conflict or is sick, they will make every effort to notify parents as far in advance as possible. Tutors will attempt to reschedule the missed session.
