Lakers Preschool Child Care and the Laker 3s Program are branches of Kids’ Company, offering care for our youngest learners.
Kids’ Company offers quality child care options before and after school, full-day programming on most non-school days, and extended care on early release afternoons. Kids’ Company is located in all elementary buildings, serving K-5 students.
Elementary Choir will be held before school on designated days at each Elementary School.
This practical workshop is focused on identifying and improving focus and attention skills in children and adults. A significant number of individuals struggle with their ability to focus and pay attention. This includes individuals diagnosed with ADHD as well as those just struggling to stay on task in the classroom or at work. Attention issues result in high frustration levels and keep individuals from achieving their full potential. This workshop will identify the different types of attention, how they impact learning and performance as well as practical strategies to improve attention skills.
Instructor Rich Frieder is the owner of LearningRx which focuses on improving an individuals ability to learn and process information. Rich has worked with individuals with ADHD, autism, dyslexia and general learning struggles. A key drive in Rich's decision to open LearningRx is his youngest daughter, Catie, who has struggled with ADHD, receptive and expressive language delays and sensory integration disorder. Rich has spoken to numerous parent and professional groups including annual conferences (spoke at last NAMI MN conference), local school district, education conferences, homeschool groups, occupational therapy groups, ABA therapy groups and support groups. Rich has also appeared on the Fox Morning News, Twin Cities Live and the Kare-11 Today Show.
