Lakers Preschool Child Care and the Laker 3s Program are branches of Kids’ Company, offering care for our youngest learners.
Kids’ Company offers quality child care options before and after school, full-day programming on most non-school days, and extended care on early release afternoons. Kids’ Company is located in all elementary buildings, serving K-5 students.
Elementary Choir will be held before school on designated days at each Elementary School.
Pour painting is an innovative technique that uses acrylic paints to create stunning artwork. In this class, you will learn how to mix acrylic paints with other mediums to achieve a fluid consistency, allowing you to pour them directly over a globe ornament. Each participant will have the opportunity to work with two ornaments. These unique creations make beautiful holiday gifts.
Instructor Vanessa Merry moved to Florence, Italy at the age of eighteen to study the methods of the great masters in painting, drawing, and printmaking at Palazzo Spinelli. From here she continued her education and exploration of the human-figure, still-lifes, and landscapes at Atelier de Chimere in France were she enjoyed Plein-Aire painting in the French countryside.She moved back to the United States were she attended and graduated from the University of Minnesota in Visual Arts and Art History.
She has been actively involved in the Twin Cities art scene for many years. Vanessa Merry has won several awards for her paintings in local galleries. She was the President of the Robbin Gallery in Robbinsdale, Minnesota and is currently on the staff of WARM (Women's Art Resources of MN).
Vanessa currently enjoys creating works of art in many different styles, but finds herself happiest when she is in the classroom teaching others all the skills that she has aquired in her studies.
