Learn how to effectively prevent and respond to water emergencies with the American Red Cross lifeguard training. With lifeguard training, you will be equipped with the skills and knowledge to prepare you for a variety of scenarios in and around the water. The training includes both testing of hands-on skills as well as comprehension on written tests. The certification, which also includes First Aid, CPR and AED training, is valid for two years upon completion and is accepted nationwide. Students must be at least 15 years old by the last day of class and must pass a pre-course swimming skills test on the first day of class. Pending completion of this class, candidates could work during the summer 2021 program. Application and interview process would be required for employment.
