    Please register for the waitlist - Laker Learners provides academic support for students through private and semi-private tutoring sessions. Help is available in all subjects with support from licensed teachers or non-certified staff. Students also build organizational skills and participate in enrichment activities, all in a welcoming, supportive environment. Please register for the waitlist by choosing the best tier option to fit your student’s needs — and watch their confidence grow! Once a tutor is assigned you will be confirmed and charged the fee for your selected tier.   • Laker Dance Team Youth Clinic (Ages 5-15)

    T-shirts have been ordered, if you register after 10:00 am on 12/18 please wear a heather gray! Come and shake off the winter blues with the Laker Dance Team at the Prior Lake Dance Team Winter Youth Clinic. Learn a variety of skills along with a short routine from the Laker Dancers. Then, perform this routine at the Prior Lake Dance Team Community Show that evening. Parents, you are encouraged to invite other family members to see your child perform, as well as see performances by the Prior Lake Varsity, JV and B-Squad dance teams. The Community Show is a night that PLDT proudly performs their routines for the community as they prepare to make their way back to the State Dance Team Floor in February. Please wear comfortable clothing, lightweight tennis shoes or dance shoes, and bring a water bottle. Fee includes instruction from the dance team and coaches. Pizza lunch will be provided, Camp proceeds benefit the PLHS Dance Team. Register and provide a T-shirt size by December 18 to be guaranteed a t-shirt. Participants that register after December 18.
  • Project LAKER (K-8 Tutoring) - NEW!

    Project L.A.K.E.R. (Learning. Achievement. Knowledge. Empowerment. Responsibility.) Project L.A.K.E.R. is a free tutoring program for K–8 students, led by Prior Lake high school volunteers in the Junior Optimist club. This tutoring program is 3-4 high schools students with a group of kids tutoring them in a field that they may need help in. Students receive help with homework, academic support in all subjects, and encouragement in a positive, inclusive environment. High school mentors provide guidance, and serve as role models. Within a week of signing up Community Education will reach out with a google doc in which we will ask what days you plan on attending. Project L.A.K.E.R. does not provide one-on-one tutoring, please look into Laker Learners if you would like one-on-one support.

    Online Virtual Class: Learn about the exciting process of cloud and mobile app development with this hands-on class. We will create our own Flappy Bird game. Students will use Constructs 3, a visual coding platform that teaches students the basics and structure of programming and game design.     Online Virtual Class: Work as a team to create a custom theme park in Minecraft. Use creative and Redstone to create this world! Projects include roller coasters, water rides, a trampoline park, an obstacle course, a boat race, bumper boats, a dunk tank, and many more rides and attractions!   • Driver Education (Ages 14.5+) - 30 hours of Classroom

    Students age 14.5-18 can take Driver Education. After students complete 30 hours of classroom, students age 15+ can test for permit at testing station. Students then schedule six hours Behind-the-Wheel (BTW) lessons (three separate 2-hour lessons). Students age 16+ who complete BTW and Supervised Driving Log can test for license at testing station Driver Education classes will be held in-person and online. Please see the class options, dates, times and locations below. This registration is for the classroom portion only. Behind-the-wheel (BTW) is not included with this registration. Required Supervised Driving Log: Option 1) Students log 50 hours/3,000 minutes (of which 15 hours/900 minutes are night driving) before testing for license. Option 2) Parent’s/Guardian’s (only) attend Point of Impact class then students log 40 hours/2,400 minutes (of which 15 hours/900 minutes are night driving) before testing for license.     Come celebrate the magic of unicorns with a tea party. Complete with sprinkles, glitter, magic and all sweet sugary treats that attract the kids and the kid in us. Bring your mom or dad and let’s make all those sprinkle filled treats and colorful rainbow foods that you and the unicorns like. We will sit down and nibble on them or save them and share with your family and friends later. Bring a container or 2 for the treats you don’t eat!

Parents or adults and their favorite youth will experience an afternoon to remember, including access to school kitchens, creating a 4-course early meal and seeing the Middle School Musical performance of Frozen Jr. As a food and musical lover group, you’ll cook and dine with other families. Dinner will include an appetizer, salad, main course, and dessert. Before dinner, you’ll be treated to VIP seats to watch a student performance of the Middle School Musical at 4:00 pm.     Join us for the 15th anniversary of the Dance with Me Ball! Bring your favorite dad, uncle, grandfather, or adult escort for an evening of dancing and fun. Dress up or wear something comfy for twirling to family-friendly DJ music. Princesses will join for dancing and photos, and every child receives a favor. Learn from Twin Cities Chess Club instructors who have years of teaching experience. Competitive chess tournaments are scheduled once a year and students can play for real chess trophies!     Ninja's develop strength and agility during this course by learning different styles and techniques to master all obstacles! We have warped walls, angles steps, salmon ladders, cliff hangers, tilted ladders; all Ninja inspired obstacles. Increase flexibility, coordination, and self-esteem that can be transferred into ninja levels testing or enhance other athletic performances. All classes are coached by an experienced Ninja trainer.

    Ninja Obstacle Training is extremely popular with kids and is a fun, unique way to develop confidence, strength, endurance, balance, and friendships! Our Conquer Rec Team is designed for youth, of all experience levels. Our Rec Team will practice on real obstacles inspired by the tv show such as warped walls, salmon ladders, tilting ladders and so much more during their weekly practice. Rec Team members will learn the styles and techniques to develop their Ninja Skills with over 40 different obstacles! This 8 week long Rec Team consists of 6 practices and 2 competitions (week 4 and week 8).

    ZAPS test-preparation seminars are carefully designed to help you do your personal best on the ACT. Students who complete the ZAPS seminar—and practice the tips and strategies at home—typically raise their ACT scores by 2 or more points. You will be taught strategies for improving in all four subtests, take shortened practice tests that mirror the actual testing experience, and get suggestions for individualized study in the days leading up to the test. You will receive a comprehensive Study Guide and detailed answer explanations. Please bring a calculator and two pencils to the seminar.

  • Child's Play Theater - "Beauty IS a Beast!" (Gr. 2-12)

    "Beauty IS a Beast" is the story of Princess Beauty who is beautiful on the outside but ugly on the inside. Her fairy godmother decides to teach her a lesson by turning Beauty inside out. Performances will be on May 16th with a showtime of 1:30 PM and 6:30 PM.
