Early Childhood Screening The early childhood years from birth to the start of kindergarten are important times of rapid learning and growth. Early Childhood Screening is a free and simple check of how your child is growing and developing offered through the Prior Lake-Savage Area Schools. Early Childhood Screening is a free developmental check-up required by the State of Minnesota for all preschool-aged children. Children between the ages of 3 and 4 years old, who live in district 719 need to participate in a screening before entering kindergarten. Between the ages of 3 and 4, screening can detect possible health or learning concerns so that children can get help before they start school. Parents may accompany their child through the approximately one-hour-long process. After the screening activities, the screener shares information regarding the child’s growth, development and learning. Click here for an informational video. From this screening appointment, you will discover more about your child's development and learning, such as: Thinking, language, and communication skills Social and emotional development Large and small muscle coordination Height and weight Vision and hearing Immunization status Call the Early Childhood Screening office with any questions you may have: 952-226-0975. Important note! There is no charge for this screening, but you must complete the checkout to be enrolled. You must also receive a confirmation email upon checkout or you will not be considered enrolled for your time slot.

LAKERS PRESCHOOL CHILD CARE Lakers Preschool Child Care is a branch of Kids’ Company, offering morning and afternoon child care before and after your child’s Circle of Friends preschool class. Lakers Preschool Child Care partners with Circle of Friends to provide all-day learning options that benefit the whole child. LAKER 3s PROGRAM Laker 3s is a new program of Kids’ Company, offering full-time child care for our youngest learners. With extended hours to meet the needs of working families, the Laker 3s program offers families flexibility with a dependable 5-day schedule.

Kids’ Company offers quality child care options before and after school, full-day programming on most non-school days, and extended care on early release afternoons. Kids’ Company is located in all elementary buildings, serving kindergarten through 5th grade students.
